SO MANY THOUGHTS GOING THROUGH MY MIND THE LAST FEW WEEKS. ESPECIALLY NOW THAT WE'VE HAD THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS IS COMING UP. WHAT A FUN TIME OF YEAR. I'M BLESSED TO HAVE A PIANO HERE AT MY HOUSE, SO I'VE STARTED SCROUNGING UP CHRISTMAS MUSIC AND PLAYING IT. IT IS MY FAVORITE MUSIC TO PLAY, I DO BELIEVE. ONE OF MY *SISTERS* MENTIONED SHE WATCHED ANNE OF GREEN GABLES ON TV THE OTHER NIGHT, AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS FUNNY SHE MENTIONED THAT BECAUSE THE SISTER I'M LIVING WITH HAS A PASSION FOR THOSE BOOKS (AND MOVIES) AND I'M CURRENTLY READING THE FIRST ONE. IF YOU'RE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THESE BOOKS, (FIRST OF ALL YOU SHOULD BE!), AND SECOND, ANNE IS KNOWN FOR HER VIVID IMAGINATION. SHE IS AN ORPHAN GIRL AND SHE'S LIVED HER LIFE THROUGH HER IMAGINATION BECAUSE SHE HAS HAD NEXT TO NOTHING HER WHOLE LIFE. BEING IN CHINA, THERE'S NO SNOW (ALTHOUGH I HEAR THERE'S NONE AT HOME YET, EITHER), THERE'S NOT A CHRISTMAS TREE AND LIGHTS IN EVERY HOUSE ALONG THE STREET AND ACROSS THE WHOLE CITY. THERE ISN'T EVEN A LOT OF TALK ABOUT CHRISTMAS AND THE MAD SHOPPING SEASON THAT IS UPON US OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE AND A FEW OTHER PEOPLE I KNOW. I'VE FOUND MYSELF HAVING TO DIG UP MY SOMEWHAT BURIED IMAGINATION AND WORKING TO MAKE THINGS FEEL MORE LIKE THE HOLIDAY SEASON IN CHINA. WE DO HAVE A TREE, IT'S SMALL AND SITS ON A TABLE, BUT WE DO HAVE ONE! AND LIGHTS AROUND THE ENTRY WAY IN OUR HOUSE. BUT THERE'S NO FEELING OF THAT 'CHRISTMAS SPIRIT' WE HAVE AT HOME. I HOPE WE ALL FIND TIME THIS DECEMBER TO FEEL THAT CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. WHETHER IT'S THROUGH BEING HOME WITH FAMILY OR BUILDING A SNOW MAN (WHEN WE ACTUALLY GET ANY SNOW, OF COURSE) OR BEING IN A MALL SURROUNDED BY MILLIONS OF OTHER CRAZY DECEMBER SHOPPERS OR HUMMING A CHRISTMAS SONG. FIND IT AND ENJOY IT! IT'LL ALL BE OVER BEFORE WE KNOW IT. NOW THAT GOT MAYBE A BIT CHEESIER AND/OR PREACHY SOUNDING THAN I THOUGHT, BUT ONE THING I'VE LEARNED AND AM STILL LEARNING IS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY; WE'LL NEVER GET IT BACK! HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON TO EVERYONE :)

Hey Mar! I started reading "Anne" too! I think I am on chapter 3. I don't find too much leisure time, but it is fun to read. I watched a little of the movie on tv last week too! I'm glad to know that sisters can all be on the same wavelength even across the world.
Thanks for the Christmas cheer. Clara and Hana ask me every day if it's Christmas yet. It's fun to see their excitement - a little obnoxious after a while - but fun nonetheless. Love you!!
Remember the good ol' Mannheim Steamroller duets? Gotta miss those!
And those are GREAT books--love them!
Hey girl! It was good to hear from you! Things here are good except that there is no freakin' snow! My grass is still green! It's crazy! School has been good! I have one final to take on Tuesday and then I am done until Jan. 5th! Yeah! It will be a nice break! Work is good! We are getting new carpet on the whole floor so it will be nice! Kind of a pain to work around though. Amber's last day was last week. She quit to go be a nanny for her nephews. I hope she will like it! When are you coming home? It will be good to have you back! Anyway, enjoy your remaining days in China!
i'm glad you + your *real* sisters all enjoy Anne as much as i do! i think we all have a little bit of Anne in us, at least i feel like i do. good times.
ps: you need to post pictures of your hair for those that didn't see it on facebook.
do have any idea who wrote "Lupe the Great" on the holiday sign up sheets? just wondering?!?
I doubt we'll find out who did it. They put her name on Thanxgiving & Christmas Day and Lynne never questioned it and Lupe didn't say anything. Lynne finally realized it after Thanxgiving. We all thought she wrote herself in on those days. She didn't. I tried to get her to let me work or split it with her but she wouldn't have it! She is too nice! It just makes me mad! I am working N.Y.Eve and N.Y.Day.
Also, I say Jancee at my husband's company party lastnight. She jumped up and gave me a hug like we were long lost buddies. STRANGE!! Anyway, chow! Can't wait till you get back!
Wow, i bet living in china has been such a humbling experience, i bet you are looking at life so differently, i know i would. I hope you have a merry christmas
